The book is a cross-genre comparative study between an Indian English novel and some Indian English poems. The research work is divided into three chapters. The first chapter “Introduction” reveals the nature of the new hybrid variety introduced in this book by comparing two different Indian English works belong to different genres. The chapter also provides the works and themes dealt by Arundhathi Subramaniam and Chetan Bhagat. It also gives a brief description about the objective of the research work which is going to be carried out in the core chapter. The second chapter, “Psychology of Modern Indian Society” deals with the cross-genre comparative study on the psychology of the mixture of both traditional and modern people in the contemporary Indian society by comparing Chetan Bhagat’s Indian English novel, half girl friend and some of the Indian English poems of Arundhathi Subramaniam. The third chapter, “Conclusion” is going to reveal the vignette of all the chapters which are going to be carried out in this new hybrid comparative study.
