Ms. U. Pushpalatha completed M.A., M.Phil., in Presidency College, Chennai. She has submitted her Doctoral thesis and expecting Viva voce. At present, she works an Assistant Professor, in the Department of English, Academy of Maritime Education and Training, (AMET) Deemed to be University, Chennai – 603112,Tamilnadu, India.She has more than nine years of teaching experience in various Engineering Colleges in Tamilnadu. She has published more than tenresearch articles in reputed journals, UGC, SCOPUS and also presented papers in various National and International Conferences in her career. She has been the member of several professional bodies both in India and abroad. She is the co-author of the book Technical English II, published in 2012. Her area of research interest includes in English Language Teaching, African American Literature and Indian Writing in English. She learnt German language and taught German in various Arts and Science Colleges in Chennai. She has contributed two E-contents and uploaded in MHRD – VidhyaMitra Portal for her credit. She has contributed more than ten book chapters and edited three books. She has served as a Resource Person in various Colleges and other Research Institutions. She has received Seed Money Project and completed successfully. She also published a book in Tamil language titled ‘EnnagaleEzhuthaai’ in 2022. She has been writing poems in both Tamil and English languages since from her schooldays and published her poems in various anthologies for the last decade. She received three times Best Teacher Award from the Engineering College where she worked. She also received innumerable awards for her contribution to Tamil language and other social activities.
