The world around us is the raw material for poetry. The power of observation and imagination allied with historical sense turn it into poetry . Barring a few all the titles deal with events around us. Reflections on… projects my magnum opus- Aham, a long poem of one hundred lines. It took days to complete it in the present form as it required serious deliberations upon man in whom divine aspirations and satanic calibre meet. It exposes the mind of man at the pinnacle of success and the consequent fall. Reflections on… is different from my first collection of poems, Fragments from a Musing Mind. Most of the poems in the Fragments were written on the spur of the moment without dwelling too long on the topic. The present collection is a deliberate art. I wrote a few lines, deliberated on and elaborated them artistically. I left the title incomplete to suggest that the collection is a reflection on every topic dealt with.

About the Author: Dr. K J Francis is a retired Associate Professor. A few poems from this collection were published in Indian Literature, a Sahitya Akademi’s Bi-monthly Journal. He writes short stories in Malayalam but not yet published..
