Description

Midnight Sun is not a book of literary poems. It's a journal of emotions, even those one is reluctant to admit. There are letters to long-lost lovers. There are reflections of a man not even close to the best version of himself. What one wants to say aloud at one point or the other but often holds back. The book gives voice to all these and more

I started reading Midnight Sun as a part of my Internship worksheet. To be frank I'm not quite fond of poems. So it took some time for me to understand it. But then I could see a collection of feelings from Dusk till Dawn. The ideas weren't vague - it's very clear and genuine. I would truly recommend this book to all poetry lovers.

I started reading "Midnight Sun" a week ago, before I go to sleep. And I imagine now to write poems for my love to read before he sleeps. At the end of the Dusk collection, I was wondering if your lost loves, ever read them and wept? You did want to speak them out loud, Sir. The poem which caught my eye was 'Tragic endings'. What story, Sir, could have led you to imagine stealing rubies. Of course metaphorically. Speaking of metaphors, the different ways you projected broken relationships even with a pinch of science in 'I Foresaw yet I Ignored' and 'A Fracture in the Spectrum', was gleeful. After finishing Dawn collection, what remained with me was "Waters of Prosaic past and remorseful regret touched my feet". A new beginning was always difficult :') I like puzzles and going through whole of your poetry, I found recurring lines, in both Dusk and Dawn poems. Which made me feel like completing missing pieces. These similar elements sometimes led me to believe that I was reading one poem when I was well into the second one. The second question, I wanted to ask was - Sometimes, I felt you had hastily written off poems, while others were well thought. So, how do you write your poems? Do you pace yourself and write with your thoughts and emotions or you siphon off inspiration from emotions as you react to a situation, Sir? I found myself at odds with you, Sir, as in the lines of your poetry, at times. Well, I did fall asleep reading your poems.

Hello sir, after reading, I'm still stuck on your book. How could one possibly compress this much emotions. I'm not much of a poetry reader but I have to admit I really enjoyed reading it. Unlike mundane poetry this one is intriguing. What or who was your inspiration to bring out so much emotions im your work? Also can you share when or what initiated your poetical journey.? Who is your inspiration or who is your favorite poet?

Hello sir.. I would like to call you as brother more not because I find you young but because of the connectivity that I can sense from your book "Midnight sun" I respect you as a author of this beautiful work to the core . Crossing across the pages I should agree that each page atleast once made me to think about the past I crossed. Having a lot to dicuss I hereby finish my very first comment..Hoping for more.. Thank you for this great work.

Dear Author,
Greetings ! "How could I not ? " (Quoting you) The words you said to the readers were merely a product of our bygone pain and insecurities,as well. I just thought of showing you how magical and true your words are and so did I use them with little modification.
And in my own words, your poem has just stuck so hard on me. Honestly,it seems like someone is speaking for me. After all, you seem like putting all my emotions as a poem. Every line discloses many emotions that are bold and beautiful. Also, I am happily relishing the emotion, from your words. It is reflecting many thoughts that were dumped down in mind. Kudos to you ! And, thank you for clasping your emotions with our's and making the readers feel good. Thank you.

Faiz Yusuf

Dear Rajalakshmi, you have no idea how much it means to me hearing this. Your message is so wholesome and I cannot be grateful enough to you for writing this. Thank you so much!

So once after reading this book I m juz awestrucked! Also I was wondering how vast mind this younger writer has. I loved the way he presented the poem dividing it into two dawn and dusk! Each poem is juz wit and on the whole...Indeed The journey with this book is completely fantasical one !

The division of the poems as dusk and dawn covers life in all of its aspects. The poems are concise and abstract ideas and emotions are presented in simplified language for relatablilty. Suffering is universal and it is conveyed in your poems in the most profound manner. Hope you keep writing.

Faiz Yusuf

Dear Jessie, your wishes are so pure and your review is so wholesome! I am so glad you like the book, Thank you for your message!

Good evening Sir. I read your collection of poetry in Midnight Sun and I enjoyed your works. I feel like you captured angst perfectly withing your lines and certain metaphors were really beautiful, especially the one about the color red. "My writings Scream Your Name" had a particular line in the second last paragraph and though it was melancholic, I really found it beautiful. I look forward to reading more of your works. Another thing I highly appreciate is the simplicity in language. The message was clear in each poem, and the metaphors were easy to understand. I think it was incredibly powerful of you to turn your anguish into art in Midnight Sun and I applaud your efforts!

Faiz Yusuf

Dear Keren, I cannot put into words how happy I am reading this message from you. It really means a lot to me that you put in so much effort to read the book and write this beautiful review here. I am incredibly thankful to you!

Hello Sir. My name is Nandini. Love your book "Midnight Sun". The lines are deep in emotion and heart touching. I would like to know what inspired you to publish this book.

Faiz Yusuf

Thank you Nandini Honestly, I was aware that feelings, even those of suffering, are universal and if this book encapsulating those emotions goes out in the world, people will be able to relate to it and that is genuinely what inspired me to write the book.

I.Nandini

Thank you for replying Sir. Yes certain lines were definitely relatable and universal. All the best for your future endeavors.
